LARICOL is Thermoplastic Polyurethane for adhesives, these granules mainly used in the preparation of adhesive solutions after being dissolved in suitable organic solvents and for thermo-adhesive process via powder sintering and film extrusion.
LARICOL are used in the footwear industry where they are employed as thermo-reactive adhesives, industrial and automotive application.
The main advantages of these adhesives compared to the more economical types traditionally used are:
- High adhesive strength and good flexibility
- Excellent resistance to oils, fats and plasticizers
- High adhesion to a wide range of synthetic and natural materials such as PVC, EVA, PE, Leather and, after suitable pre-treatment of the surface, TR, SBR
- Good thermal resistance.
The range of LARICOL offers a various balance of properties such as green strength, open time, thermal resistance and a wide range of solubility in the most common organic solvents.
Optionally LARICOL solutions can be added by resins and/or inorganic fillers to improve green strength or to modify the rheology, cross-linking agents to increase the thermal resistance and stabilizers of various types.
They are supplied with a standard viscosity of about 2000 cps at 25°C (related to 15% MEK solution) but many other viscosities are available upon request.
Packaging of LARICOL: 25 kg bags.
Thermoplastic polyurethane granules are specially ordered by customer demand.
