The LARIPURs are thermoplastic polyurethanes and they consequently combine the working technology of the thermoplastic products with the well-known features of polyurethanes:
- Excellent abrasion resistance
- Great flexibility and a good constancy of the same at temperature variations
- Good compression resistance
- Good water and light resistance
- Good resistance to oils, fats and to many types of solvents
Usage:
Depending on their chemical nature, the LARIPURs can be grouped in various categories, in which the material shows, In a differently balanced way, the typical features of the polyurethanes as detailed. The range of the LARIPURs covers a large field of hardness, from 52 shore A to 75 shore D. LARIPURs have UE and USA FDA food contact approval.
SERIES 20 STANDARD ESTER
Based on saturated polyesters; strong toughness and tearing resistance, excellent abrasion resistance, a good stability against the action of water, solvents, light and oxidation.
SERIES 25 SPECIAL ESTER
Based on saturated polyesters; characterized by a higher resistance to hydrolysis and a better behavior at low temperature.
SERIES E 2102 POLYCAPROLACTONE ESTER
Based on polycaprolactones; higher resistance to hydrolysis.
SERIES 50 MODIFIED ESTER
Products obtained by homogeneously incorporating techopolimers for achieving special properties as cold impact resistance.
SERIES 60 AND E 2103 ETHER
Based on quality polyether, better resistance to hydrolysis, to microbial attacks, a higher cold flexibility but a lower resistance to oxidation.
PRODUCTS FOR GASKETS
Specially developed TPU for manufacturing hydraulic gaskets or any other application where high compression set, also in presence of oils and/or at high temperature is required.
SERIE 15 and 18
Plasticized TPUs .They are used for several technical articles, mainly, in footwear, as outsole in combination with a PU.
ALLOYS
Homogenous mixtures of other technopolymers with TPU in a variable ratio, the characteristics of which can vary considerably according to the nature of the binder.
OTHERS
Others LARIPUR ranges are available, intended for special utilisations or in fields of application not requiring particularly elevated standards of quality. This case in particular permits, as a consequence, the use of economically more advantageous products.
